Volunteer Forms and Policy

Welcome to our volunteer program. We will do our best to provide you with a satisfying and enriching experience.

As part of Legal School's volunteer program you will be making a valuable contribution to the school by:

- helping provide materials for our students and their programs
- providing needed support and services to staff and students
- providing students with the additional adult contact that is so important to them
- Helping a student feel good about him/himself

For your convenience, we have posted the volunteer forms that are required to be completed.

Pursuant to Administrative Policy 265:

When volunteers are working directly with students, not only do they need the declaration waiver, they are required to get a criminal record check and a child welfare check. They take approximately 14 days to be mailed out once the application process has begun. The declarations will stand until the checks are completed.

Child Welfare Checks:

Any Provincial Building can help you St. Albert , Westlock etc.
The Provincial Building in Morinville is a satellite office, call first to ensure someone is there 780-939-1257. Criminal record checks for residents of Sturgeon County can be completed by the RCMP detachment in Morinville. If you live in Vimy/Busby area, you are required to go to the Westlock detachment. They will need a letter from the school to get it done for free. Stop in at the office, to pick one up or call and we can fax/email you one.

How much will it cost me?

There is no charge for any of the checks.
